CEO Troy McQuagge Wins Prestigious Award

Troy McQuagge is the CEO OF USHEALTH Group, Inc., a Ft Worth, Texas, based company that offers specialized health insurance coverage. It has been announced by One Planet Awards that Mr. McQuagge is the Gold Winner recipient of their CEO of the Year award. One Planet Awards accepts nominations for their awards from businesses – public, private, and nonprofit – from around the world.

It was in 2010 that Troy McQuagge came to USHEALTH Group, tasked with the mission to turn around the company’s moribund captive distribution agency network. Due to his overwhelming success at this, in 2014 he was named as the successor to Benjamin Cutler who had been the Chairman Chief Executive Officer of the company.

While accepting the CEO of the Year award McQuagge stated that his win was a credit to the entire staff at USHEALTH Group and their dedication to offering innovative, affordable health coverage.

McQuagge also won an award in July 2016 when he was honored by the CEO World Awards as the CEO of the Year in the category of insurance. This award is given to those who exhibit the world’s best in performance, corporate social responsibility, new products and services, as well as leadership and innovation.

After graduating from the University of Central Florida in 1983 Troy McQuagge went to work for Allstate Insurance Company. In 1995 he joined United Insurance Companies, Inc. (UICI) where he worked in the Student Division. In 1997 he was given the role of President for UICI’s insurance agency UGA which he successfully led to larger sales and profits. McQuagge was the President of the Agency Marketing Group at HealthMarket for almost 12 years before joining USHEALTH Advisors.

In his spare time, Troy McQuagge has donated his time and money to various charities. Some of these include Crisis Nursery Phoenix which provides a safe place for infants that have suffered neglect, abuse, and homelessness. Another charity he supports is the Semper Fi Fund which provides lifetime resources for U.S. Armed Forces who have been injured in the line of duty.
